The Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS) (www.tds.gb.com) has been introduced to ensure that tenancy deposits are protected and that disputes about their return are resolved quickly, cheaply and fairly.
The Landlord is responsible for the building insurance on the property and, if appropriate, Landlords' contents but this does not cover Tenants contents and may not cover accidental damage.
