Three Years of Growth Ahead
The BCChas raised its hopes for the UK economy and predicted three years of growth. The country will grow 0.9% this year, 1.9% the next, and 2.4% in 2015, according to the industry body, which raised its annual growth forecasts from 0.6%, 1.7% and 2.2% respectively. David Kern, the BCC's chief economist, said it was an unusual move. "I can't remember any time recently where we upgraded all three years," he said. Mr Kern also believes the ONS could revise away Britain's double-dip recession in a month's time when updated growth figures are released.
